How do I engage my child in the college admissions process early?

The Elevation Scholars Program offers programming from 9th grade to 11th grade throughout our student Club and Fellow and Friends Program. For more information on how to join, click here.

How does this help my child?

Engagement with the Elevation Scholars program will expose your student to a substantial amount of college and career information that’s relevant to their day to day decisions from 9th grade to college graduation. This is the best program to received customized information tailored to your child’s interest and abilities concerning career and college success.

Should my child attend bootcamp?

Yes. If your child is currently a junior at his/her school, bootcamps are a great tool to learn and begin the basics of the college admissions process with help from experts in the field.

Does this cost me anything?

No, participation in the Elevation Scholars program is free at all levels.

Why Uber/Lyft for transportation?

We believe in doing everything we can to remove the barrier of access. As a result, our most efficient solution to transportation is to offer individual and group Uber/Lyft rides to and from events to ensure students can attend as often as possible. Students are welcome to secure their own transportation and do not have to use our means.

How do I stay informed on program updates?

What are the income limits?

Our program targets families with high need to ensure students come as close as possible to receiving a free college education. We’re learning based on available financial aid, this income limit is about $80,000 and below depending on family size. Please contact us if you’re unsure if you fit into this category.

What is the Elevation Scholars Program?

A local 501.3c aimed at providing high need, high achieving students the information and support necessary to secure admissions and graduation from a college that matches their academic ability.

Do you provide transportation to your events?

Yes, if a student needs transportation to our events, please contact us and we will send an uber gift card to the students email address.

What is a Scholar Award?

A scholar award is a 5 ½ year commitment starting at the end of a student’s junior year and completed at college graduation. This is comprised of a mix of services and financial support. For a detailed list of these offerings, click here.

How does a Scholar Award differ from a standard scholarship?

A standard scholarship typically provides you with hard funding that is reported to your attending college and used at will to pay for college expenses. The Scholar Award allocates dollars to pay for services and support needed to succeed while in college. These services are defined and contracted on a yearly bases between the Elevation Scholars Program and the Student.
