ANTONIO BUTLER

Antonio Butler is the Elevation Scholars Program High School Coach. He delivers content to all our high school students involved in our after-school programs that is dedicated to decreasing the information gap surrounding the college admissions process. He also assists in the coaching of our scholars, assisting, developing, and maintaining partner schools and community relationships, and co-leads our summer programming experiences for all scholars.

Raised in Nashville, TN his passion for working towards achieving equity in the K – 16 education system for all students was birthed while attending the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, where he graduated with a degree in Supply Chain Management and minors in Marketing and Leadership Studies. At Tennessee he led and was involved in multiple multicultural organizations, and championed uplifting marginalized voices on campus while working with university administration to increase internal and external efforts related to diversity and inclusion. Upon graduation he worked on Capitol Hill as a legislative intern focused on researching how substantial investments in the K – 16 education system can lead to long-term economic growth. After his Capitol Hill internship ended, he transitioned to becoming a First Presbyterian Church of Orlando Fellow and intern for the Elevation Scholars Program. The son of an educator Antonio is dedicated to expanding and working towards an equitable education system that champions, uplifts, and supports all students throughout their entire educational career. In his spare time Antonio is an avid reader, enjoys writing poetry, running, and spending time with friends and family.
